He has taught for conventions, DanceMakers, Adrenaline, Dance Caravan, has guested with Tremaine and many Dance Masters chapters.

Darryl is in his 25th year in owning and operating his L.A. Studio, Retter’s Academy of Dance, and has seen his dancers move into careers on Broadway, world tours with music artists, choreographing for Disney and Nickelodeon TV, and teaching on national conventions.
In 1996, Darryl created The Dancer’s Bridge in LA to direct 18-25 year old dancers into the professional world of dance. A one-year program, Dancers Bridge offers a safe and realistic view of what it’s like to be part of the LA experience in dance.
